Movement Journeys Powered by Opposites 200hr Yoga Teacher Training
Gain a deeper and more insightful understanding of yoga and the components of the 8 limbs from the perspective of the Yoga Sutras. This training is designed for those who wish to pursue teaching as well as those who just want to deepen their own practice.
Our teacher training is an Ashtanga Vinyasa based training combined with the wisdom of the sister science of Ayurveda that strongly supports individuality in a group setting, tailoring the training to the individual’s own areas of strengths and weaknesses. Each experience is uniquely created for the individual to maximize their potential.
Yoga and Ayurveda are inseparable sisters. Both originate as part of a greater system of Vedic knowledge (what I would call as the nurturing mother). Yoga originates in the Yajur Veda, while Ayurveda originates in the Atharva Veda and Rig Veda.
Both Yoga and Ayurveda are based upon the principles of trigunas (sattva, rajas and tamas) and the panchamahabuthas (earth, air, fire, water, space). Yoga and Ayurveda also encompass an understanding of how the body works (Dosha-Dhatu-Mala/humor-tissue-waste material theory) and the effect that food and medicines have on the body (Rasa-Veerya-Vipaka/taste-energy-post digestive effect concept).
The focus of the training is from a therapeutic view. We bring yoga to the level of where the student is on day one and expertly guide change physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually to attain health, healing and well-being. Students are guided through variations and modifications giving them the knowledge to bring yoga to a wider population, especially beginners and those who think “yoga is too hard for me.” Teachers are encouraged to discover their individual voice and individuality in their own teaching.
1) Find your unique voice and your focus as both a practitioner and a teacher.
2) Deepen your knowledge and understanding of the whole system of yoga.
3) Have the ability to bring yoga to a wide range of students at various levels.
4) Be proficient at adjusting students to help guide them to unlocking their potential.
5) Understand how the body works and learn new ways to effectively create positive change in it.

Julia Abramova, RYT500
Certified Prenatal Yoga Teacher. Yoga Therapist, Sound Healing Practitioner, Ayurveda Wellness Counselor, Reiki Master
As an executive, Julia always looked to find inner balance and peace. Thus began her yoga journey in 2009. Drawing upon a synthesis of Jivamukti and the Bihar schools of yoga she became a certified yoga teacher in 2012.
Soon after beginning her yoga teaching career, Julia realized that there was a need to work with students on a more individual basis in order to help them find peace and balance within their bodies. This desire to help led to further studies in: prenatal yoga, The Kaivalya Yoga Method and Prema Yoga Therapeutics, and ultimately becoming an Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor through Kerala Ayurveda Academy.
Along with learning about the inner workings of the mind/body connection through Yoga and Ayurveda, she always had a strong connection with energy healing. She would go on to become a Reiki Master in the Usui lineage, and has begun to incorporate Tibetan singing bowls into her practice as well.
Julia strongly believes that we are all capable of healing ourselves. Through her dedication to her students and a holistic approach Julia serves as a catalyst that ignites the healing fire within.
